A surveillance tale

The Anderson Tapes: Lawrence Sanders.
[Movie adaptation marks the debut of a certain C. Walken]

the debut novel of one of my favourite author [of the McNally fame] is one in a completely different style and genre.
The format of the book is interesting, it is a series of interviews and surveillance tapes that tell the story of a daring heist on an upscale apartment complex in New York. At the end, there is a short introduction of Sanders’ future hero Edward X Delaney.
As far as procedural dramas go, this one is up with connelley’s best. a nice little piece of fiction from the late 60s, marking the start of the electronic surveillance era in an interesting format
